Caterpillar and His Very Special Apartment Board Book
The story gives representation to interabled families, a rarity in children’s literature, teaching kids that there are many ways to be diverse, unique, and happy! It is a book about my family and our home from the perspective of our very special cat, Caterpillar. In the book, like in real life, my partner and I are interabled — Zacc has muscular dystrophy and I am able-bodied — but I’m pretty sure our cat, Caterpillar, hasn’t noticed yet.
